The 23.5km of the Dorrigo Rainforest Run is essentially broken up into three parts – 9.5km on Dome Road, 5km on Rosewood Creek Track and 9.5km on Dome Road.
From the Dorrigo Rainforest Centre, runners will follow Dome Road for 9.5km out to Never Never Picnic Area. Dome Road is bitumen for 2.7km, before turning into a gravel and forest road for the rest of the 9.5km.
5km along Dome Road marks the Dorrigo National Park boundary and from there you will be submerged into the Gondwana World Heritage Rainforest.
At 9.3km you will reach the aid station at Never Never Picnic Area where a first aid officer and volunteer marshall will be. Water, soft drink, food and a toilet will be available here.
From Never Never Picnic Area, runners go clockwise around the 5km Rosewood Creek Track – arguably some of the most stunning rainforest singletrack found in NSW.
You will pass Coachwood Falls and numerous smaller cascades too. This is rainforest running at its absolute best.
After completing the Rosewood Creek Track at 14.3km , runners pass the aid at Never Never Picnic Area again before following Dome Road 9.5km back to the Dorrigo Rainforest Centre to finish.
