Yuraygir Coastal Run

When?

The inaugural Yuraygir Coastal Run will feature a 24km and 11km course and be held on:

Sunday 11th June 2023.

The Yuraygir Coastal Run features two scenic courses along stunning coastal singletrack in the largest coastal park in NSW – Yuraygir National Park. 

Both courses feature the northern part of the idyllic Yuraygir Coastal Walk.

Now listed by AURA and supported by National Parks & Wildlife Service.

Race Schedule

Saturday 4th June

18:00 – Optional registration at Yamba Bowlo Sports & Leisure at the Norkfolk Bistro. This is an opportunity to collect your bib prior to the morning of the event and to socialise with other runners over dinner.

Sunday 5th June

06:30 – Registration at Wooloweyah Hall

Parking and registration is located at Wooloweyah Hall at 83 Lakes Blvd, Wooloweyah. From here a bus will take runners to Angourie Bay Picnic Area where the start line is. Runners are not allowed to park at Angourie Bay Picnic Area. Both Wooloweyah Hall and Angourie Bay Picnic Area have public toilets.

06:30-7:00am – Bus to start at Angourie Bay Picnic Area

07:15 – Start 24km

07:30 – Start 11km

24km Course

Carparking for the 24km course is at Wooloweyah Hall at 83 Lakes Boulevard, Wooloweyah. All runners are to meet here. A minibus will then take runners to the start line at Angourie Bay Picnic Area and back to Wooloweyah Hall after the run. Runners are not allowed to park at Angourie Bay Picnic Area.

The course follows the Yuraygir Coastal Walk along singletracks to Lake Arragan and back the same way.

Checkpoint:

  • Checkpoint 1 at Lake Arragan – 11.7km (water / coke / lollies / chips)

Cost: $20

Mandatory gear:

  • Snake bandage

  • Capacity to carry 1 litre of water

  • Charged phone with offline navigation maps (e.g. maps.me, guru maps etc)

Total ascent: 300m

11km Course

Carparking for the 11km course is at Wooloweyah Hall at 83 Lakes Boulevard, Wooloweyah. All runners are to meet here. A minibus will then take runners to the start line at Angourie Bay Picnic Area and back to Wooloweyah Hall after the run.

The course follows the Yuraygir Coastal Walk along singletracks to Shelleys Campground and back the same way.

There is no food or water on this course
